Founded in the late 1970s by a small group of local contractors with dream, our fledgling store steadily evolved into the powerhouse firm it is today. By 1980, one of the group’s veteran flooring installers – at the request of his peers- assumed management and eventual ownership of the business.

In 1995, we joined forces with Carpet One Floor & Home, the world’s largest cooperative of independently owned and operated flooring stores. Today, Primera employs over 450 team members at its locations in Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico, and California.

Under the same ownership since 2010, Primera Carpet One Floor & Home remains a community destination for flooring, installations, and renovations.
